Most of the times we don't think about the installation position of gate valves to install them in horizontal line with upward stem or horizontal stem or to install them in vertical line with horizontal stem. This may be surprising for you if somebody tells you that valve manufacturers only prefer to install larger size valves in horizontal lines with vertical stem and some of them cannot guarantee the valve performance in other positions.
