Apixpert - Slow Release Flumethrin miticide (10 strip pack)

Apixpert is a single application treatment and the premium option for the control of varroa mites. This is a slow release strip that maintains effectiveness for 6 - 8 weeks, which is a full course.

It's extensively used throughout Europe and USA for its ease of use and time efficiency. Using a single application treatment reduces the amount of travel to apiaries and time spent going through hive, making it a favourite for commercial operations.

Application rate:

• For small hives and nucs less than 5 frames only 1 strip is required. Place between two brood frames in the centre of the hive.
• For 8 & 10 frame hives, 2 strips are required. Distribute these across the brood box  e.g. one between frames 3&4 and the other between frames 6&7.
• For 12 frame hives 3 strips are required, also evenly distributed between the brood frames
• Leave in the hive for 6 - 8 weeks before removing. No further applications required
  

Usage requirements:

• Test application on a few hives before treating entire apiary
• Not to be used when temperature exceeds 35 degrees or below 15 degrees.
• Do not use in conjunction with other pesticides or alkaline drugs
• Not to be used on stressed or newly established hives.
• Strips not to be left in hives for longer than 8 weeks
• PPE to be used during application
• Not to be used during honey flow periods
