Quality Assurance

Traceability

The most significant attribute of our FIBCs is that every bag through its unique code number can be traced back right up to the order number as well as production date, set workers who made the bag and detailed properties of fabric and all other components that was used, going back to the batch of raw material which was used for the extrusion. This system helps to find out root cause of the problem and taking corrective action to avoid repetitive mistakes.

Examination

We are equipped with all the equipments for all the tests as per ISO standards.

We rigorously examine each and every component at every stage of production from tape to final bag. Tensile testing machine for test of strength and elongation of tape, fabric, webbing and sewing yarn. Every batch of fabric and the yarn produced undergoes a UV Resistance test in QUV accelerated weathering tester. QUV tester reproduces the damage caused by sun light, rain and dew by exposing material to alternating cycles of light and moisture at a controlled elevated temperature. QUV Resistance test conforms to EN and ASTMG154. First bag and randomly selected bags from daily lot is Load tested in Rig Test machine. The bag get tested for 5 or 6 or 8 times of it SWL by going through Cyclic Top Lift Test + Load to Failure. This is the most important test to ensure that bag can be safely used and gives confidence to buyer/user.

Assesment / Inspection

Inspection and assessment are an integral part of Comsyn’s quality assurance system. Our inspection program has 2 stages – Online Inspection and Final Inspection. The online inspection at work floor / assembling room is designed to identify and eliminate possible deviations at the time and point where they occur. The experienced quality supervisors have an eagle view on each minute nuisance of finishing. They have authority to stop production and report the matter to QA-Head who in turn have direct access to Director for immediate actions. In Final Inspection randomly selected finished bag of each bale/pallet are meticulously inspected by third party inspector in comparison with customer specification sheet. If there is any fault then whole bale is checked. With inspection assessment is also necessary for future course of action. the recordings of inspections are punched in system to create a data base. This data is then put to statistical analysis to measure long term trends which are periodically analyzed to focus efforts at product improvement. All areas of operations where deviations are likely to occur are identified. If results are outside the acceptable range, it triggers off a standard procedure to eliminate the deviation and segregate such production for a more careful inspection.

Motivation

A highly trained and motivated worker can produce bags of best quality. Motivated staff works to higher standards of quality because they care about what they are doing. They learn faster and have more ideas. They are less likely to cause accidents, make mistakes or get involved in conflict. Comsyn invests in training programs that upgrades the skills of existing workers for new technologies and production processes, improves employee productivity, and increases industry employment stability.

4-PANEL

4-panel bags are made of four individual panels sewn together to create a square. One advantage of a 4-panel bag is that it maintains a square shape when filled.

U-PANEL

U-panel bags are made up of three panels. One panel runs the full length of the bag, forming a U and creating the bottom and two of the sides. Two more panels are sewn to the U to form the other two sides. U-panel bags maintain a square shape when filled, especially if it has baffles.

CIRCULAR

Circular-woven bags are made from fabric that is woven into a tube on a circular loom and then cut to the desired size. Despite having a square top and bottom sewn onto the bag, Circular-woven bags still have a circular/cylinder shape when filled. One advantage to circular-woven bags is the minimal amount of stitching needed (just the top and bottom).

VENTILATED

Ventilated bags have thin strips of fabric that are designed to allow air to flow through the fabric and into the bag. Ventilated bags are good for keeping the contents (such as potatoes, onions, and wood chips) dry because of the airflow.

BAFFLE

Baffled bags help a bag keep its shape and prevents bulging. Baffles are pieces of fabric with holes that are sewn to the inside corners of the bag. The holes let the product flow through them to fill the entire space.

FOOD GRADE

Food grade bags are produced in a BRC-commissioned clean room to the highest hygiene standards so they can be used in a food grade facility.

TYPE C

Type C bags are made from non-conductive polypropylene fabrics interwoven with conducting threads to prevent incendiary sparks, brush discharges and propagating brush discharges. Type C bags must be grounded to the earth during filling and emptying operations.

TYPE D

Type D bags are available in standard and CROHMIQ® Blue fabrics, They are made from antistatic and static dissipative fabrics designed to prevent incendiary sparks, brush discharge and propagating brush discharge without the need for a grounding connection.

UN-HAZMAT

UN bags are produced according to UN recommendations and regulations. Prior to production, UN tests are performed at an internal test center, which is inspected by international test institutes. Our manufacturing facility holds several different UN certificates for the manufacturing of their special FIBCs. Each has a unique feature for different applications.

FIBC BULK BAG FILL, DISCHARGE & HANDLING OPTIONS

>>  Fill Types Open

An Open top is a bulk bag without any type of top closure. The product is always exposed.

Spout

A Spout top is a cylindrical opening that can be tied off to protect the contents. The spout is smaller and narrower than the bulk bag and requires special machinery during filling.

Duffle

A Duffle top is a lightweight panel (skirt) sewn to the top of the bulk bag. The skirt height is proportional to the bulk bag dimensions. After filling, it can be tied closed to protect the contents.

>>  Discharge Types Flat

A Flat bottom has no discharge and contents are removed from the top. Cutting the bottom of the bag is not recommended, as it could be dangerous and cause serious injury or death.

Spout

A Spout bottom lets you control the discharge of your product without destroying the bulk bag. It remains closed until you are ready to discharge and comes in multiple sizes to fit your needs.

Spout+Star Cover

A Spout + Star Cover is a normal spout with a heavy fabric cover that looks like a star and is sewn over the discharge spout for protection of the spout itself. It prevents bulging and minimizes contamination.

Spout+Iris Closure

A Spout + Iris Closure is a normal spout with a safety valve used to control the flow of the product being discharged.

Spout+Bottom Flap

A Spout + Bottom Flap is a normal spout with a flap that covers and protects the entire bottom of the bulk bag from dirt and wear.

>>   Lift Loop Types Corner

Corner loops are sewn into each corner seam of the bulk bag and are the most common loop type. When using a forklift, all four loops must be used.

Cross Corner

Cross Corner loops are sewn into eight points on opposite corners of the bulk bag. This makes the loops bigger and stand upright, so forklifts can grab them easier. Cross-corner loops require a circular fabric bulk bag.

2 Loops

2 Loops are mainly used for lifting bulk bags with smaller capacities. These are ideal if you don’t have a forklift.

Stevedore

Stevedore straps are heavy-duty straps that thread through two sets of lift loops on a bulk bag to offer additional ways to lift the bag.
