What is the honest difference in quality between a $500 faucet and $150 faucet? High end plumbing stores only carry expensive products versus Lowes. They also cannot explain the difference... please help me decide. Is it worth it to spend on this item? Stainless steel pull stem with detachable sprayer.

$400 kitchen sink faucet--is it ever worth it?

I love the look of KWC's Sin faucet and soap dispenser. I've seen them as high as $1300; the lowest I found was $417 and $178 respectively on HomePerfect.com. Other than aesthetics, is there a reason to take the plunge? Should I do away with the soap dispenser?
