Fantastic Find: Simplifying PE Foam Modifications

While modifying with PE Foam, you don't necessarily need to create a cutout for the entire stabilizer, which many enthusiasts suggest online. Instead, consider making just two cutouts for the stab housings. The foam's thinness allows it to fit neatly under the stab wire without any complications. This approach is beneficial for two primary reasons.

  1. Firstly, it effectively reduces stab ticking. In Luke Mason's video, he demonstrates how placing a bandaid strip beneath the wire can significantly enhance ticking. The method using PE foam mirrors this approach perfectly, as its thickness is ideal for this use. From what I've observed, it truly alleviates ticking issues. My spacebar is now completely silent, and I've not even applied the holee mod yet. It’s truly remarkable.
  2. Secondly, your stabilized keys will receive the same improvement as your 1u keys. Given the focus on uniform sound signatures across your keyboard's keys, it seems illogical to only modify the 1u keys. I find this method much more appealing than what I've encountered previously; it undoubtedly streamlines the process and aligns with my understanding of mods.

Give it a try! Stab tick can be incredibly frustrating.
